Less consumption, more breathing

ENERGY MANAGEMENT, AIR QUALITY

12 to 4 hours a day: less consumption, more breathing

SUCCESS STORY

Scope

Reduce the AHU consumption to decrease spending and evaluate indoor air quality.

The first pilot on our customer branch showed that the annual CO2 Emissions of the single building was 15,1t: not only the AHU cost was a real issue, as well as the air quality perceived inside, but the entire resource spending needed to be improved.

Building Overview

Annual Energy Consumption: 47MWh

Dimensions: 410m2

Annual Energy Cost: 9,100K €

Annual CO2 Emissions: 15.1t

Before OVER

After OVER

The AHU remained on for about 12h a day, even if the branch working hours was 8h.
We implemented our Architecture System (BEMS) and Air Quality Sensor (OSensor), automating the AHU and monitoring the environment indoor.
Employees and Managers forgot to switch off the devices or kept them activated without need.
Thanks to our devices connected to the cloud platform OverBoard, the Energy Manager, supported by our team at first, could be able to automatically develop rules of activation based on use, environment and needs.
Customers and staff complained about the ambient atmosphere, which was usually dry and heavy after a few hours of work.
Thanks to the OSensor, the Energy Manager is able to assess the indoor air quality beforehand and improve the ambient environment.
